Cool and Unusual Zecar by Chico Bicalho
The Kikkerland Zecar is a cool-looking flywheel design that can climb over small obstacles with ease. Designed by Chico Bicalho, proceeds from sales of the Zecar benefit reforestation projects in Brazil.
The Zecar is a fantastically simple and clean design. And while it has all the markings of a pure-bred racer, the Zecar is actually a modest machine — but with a remarkable torque that allows it to overcome small obstacles and keep going and going and going.
But for all its high-torque action, the Zecar arrives with a higher purpose — all proceeds from royalties benefit reforestation projects in Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil.
The Zecar was designed by Chico Bicalho, who has made impressive efforts to save the Atlantic Tropical Rainforest, the most critically damaged forest in Brazil, with the richest variety of trees anywhere in the world.
Bicalho strives to “...make the earth better for children, and the children of their children, as well as for all living creatures (except pigeons and roaches).” He also believes “...there is an emergency to preserve and replenish forests throughout the world, to conserve, recycle, think globally and act locally.”
You can add to this effort with every Zecar purchase — and have a lot of fun along the way.
